"Sitecast PanelTM Construction"

"SSitecast PanelTM" is a construction technique in which reinforced concrete panels are cast on-site, then "tilted" into position. These panels become the exterior structural component. The perimeter of the structure does not require columns, as these panels become load bearing elements.

Invented in the United States at the turn of the century, Tilt-Up construction has quickly become the predominant construction method throughout the majority of the United States. The Tilt-Up Concrete Association claims that in 2001 over 730 million square feet of space was created using Tilt-Up Construction.

Advantages

Quality Control:
Casting the panels at a grade level by one trade maximizes quality control and productivity.

Economy:
Scaffolding, elevating devices and material handling equipment are eliminated.

Thermal Performance:
By using non-conductive ties, and a three-layer construction method, "Tilt-Up" offers a 25%-35% reduction in heating costs over traditional construction techniques.

Steel Erection:
Steel erection is quicker as a subcontractor and is not required to cross-cable their steel to maintain square or plumb.

Speed:
All trades working on a finished slab results in a quicker project, which translates into lower general construction and financing costs.
